Your host is not only a wine lover, but also an expert on the history of local winegrowing. He publishes on it, for example in "Der Schlern", the monthly magazine for regional and cultural studies of South Tyrol. Since 2012 he serves as scientific counselor for the "Gesellschaft für Geschichte des Weines E.V." in Wiesbaden, Germany.
